They arent shaped even close to original fairings.. Do yours fit perfect? Cant wait to get my J1 in perfect condition!
Believe it or not, it was 100%. I couldn't believe it myself. Now the only thing that bothered me a little is that the fairing bolt kit they send you does not come with the rubber washers that fit on the inside of the main side fairings towards the front of the engine where the 'V' piece fits into. Of course, you could just pull these out of your old fairing set but I somehow lost mine in that transition. Either way, I was able to find some at the hardware store.

Honestly, I was thinking about buying a second fairing bolt kit from Auctmarts just in case I lose a bolt or two here and there.

What eBay sellers have you gone through?

Was able to get the seat wrapped and tank on to go for a quick ride this weekend. The seat still needs a little work to make the form fit properly. Not sure yet what to do with the tank, don't really like the gold decals currently on there.

It's been a few months since I last posted on here. Well, since I got on here at all really. Summer always seems to keep you busy and after finding a day to get myself to the track, I was hooked. Have probably put close to 2500 miles on the bike this summer riding to Indy for IndyCar Series GP and Indy 500 and MotoGP (this year was the last ) as well as a few track days and general riding around SE Ohio.

Since myast couple posts, I've added new HEL brake lines and new front EBC rotors to aid in braking power and feel. I'm a bit ticked at myself for not having gone this route earlier as the advantage in feeling you gain is easily worth the $$$.

I also have a second set of fairings (for those familiar with my first build thread these were the ones I tried to paint using spray gun. They didn't turn out 100% as I'd hoped) that I'm beginning to vinyl wrap. Plan is to keep these as track only fairings starting next spring since I wont care too much if I go down and they get busted. Should have the design finalized and wrap done soon

Here were a few from the last track day we went to in August. Im far from great and still stuck in the novice class, although each time I went this summer was an absolute friggin blast. Learned more riding in a day at the track than I could entire summer on the streets.

I think I'm done for the most part with buying bits for the bike. Now it's time to allocate savings towards finding an enclosed trailer to haul her in
